Dell’s Latitude Xt
When you talk about “high tech” this little computer system is sure to come to mind for those who have seen it. It is the dell Latitude XT. It is a tablet that can also be used as a laptop.
If you are worried about the touch screen being too sensitive, which is the case in many devices with a touch screen, worry no more! The Latitude XT is made with palm-rejection technology, which means that is made to respond only to the touches that you make deliberately. It doesn’t respond to light taps or bumps. This makes working with the touch screen much more reliant and safe. You can either touch the display screen with your fingertip or you can use the pen. The pen is stored in its own little compartment on the side of the tablet.
Some of the features that make this tablet so neat and convenient are the digital card slot, the tablet grip, the tablet back button, the screen rotation button, the Wi-Fi button. Not to mention that it has wireless radio that you can turn off and on from the side. It also has a scroll control wheel for easier navigation on the screen. It comes with a QuickSet tablet button that for added convenience. Plus, it has an e-mail short cut button allowing easy access to your e-mail with the simple touch of a button. These aren’t the only fast access and high tech buttons and features. It also has a Windows Security button and a Biometric Reader for added security.
The Latitude XT has a couple different screens to choose from. You can get either the 12.1-inch side LED display screen or the 12.1-inch wide display screen that provides greater visibility. Both of these can be used in a “bump” sleeve that gives protection to your screen but still allows you to use it without removing it from the sleeve.
This laptop/tablet design is one of the slimmest 12.1-inch of its kind. It measures at about 1 inch thick or thin in this case. It has an extra small power supply along with a thin and light yet high power battery. The Latitude XT is designed with mobility and convenience in mind as it only waits 3.57 pounds with its 4-cell battery attached.
If you choose to use it as a laptop rather than a tablet, it has a full size keyboard, so there are no problems with that conversion. It is simply made for mobility and performance in one.
You can choose from the Optional Media Base for docking your Latitude XT. With this Base you can also use optical drives as well. This tablet/laptop comes with Windows Vista operating system and an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor.
