They are often sold at WalMart and other department stores, and have little advertising which helps to keep the cost low. Gateway itself was actually just purchased by the Acer company within the last couple of years.

Although owned by another company, they still operate on their own professional level and continue to deliver top of the line laptops at great prices. Their laptops are unique in that they try to make each one with a widescreen and very portable. They offer decent speakers for sound and they also offer some of the best portable tablet laptops.

Right now there are only three different laptop models available for purchase brand new through their website. The C, M, and P. Each of theses are followed by different numbers for each separate model.

One of the things you will really like about Gateway is the quality. While their prices are comparable to other brands with the same technology, Gateway wants to sell only the best of what they can. All of their systems have the tech support available and the company really stands behind their customers. They want you to be comfortable in knowing your computer is going to work, and if it doesn’t you have help for it.

This is a step ahead of many other companies, who offer average or unfriendly user support. Reliability is what this computer company is all about. If you have been a customer with them for a long time you already know that. Either way you are going to be able to customize exactly what you want out of a computer with a price you are comfortable with. They also offer a trade in program so if you have an old computer you can make a few bucks off it towards your new Gateway, and start enjoying what it is like to have a computer that works when and where you need it to.
