Keyboard Bezel For Ibm Laptops
Portable computers are excellent in one thing that is their portability. Now these laptops use the LCD liquid color display monitors. The advantages of these monitors are as follows :
They are light in weight can be used I any place independently of their commercial power sources by the means of mounting a battery charger in the interior. The recent trend of using laptops in the remote areas so many a times the users have to work in Dark environment. For example in a room or even in aero plane to use these laptops the users have to use the keyboard and the pointers.
Viewing LCD is not a problem since it is provided with a back light at its back side. This enables the users to see the screen even when the conditions are darker but what about the keyboards and the pointers users faced a lot of difficulties while working in the dark conditions. So the company decided to counteract this problem since other than the experienced users nobody was able to operate the keyboard properly.
Also the screen was not able to provide sufficient illumination to operate the keyboard properly. This problem was solved in the model 59-4493. The technique used to illuminate the keyboard was as follows. The illuminator is provided at the upper end of the front surface of the register.
When the register is used then the Keyboard can be illuminated. This electronic register which is present in this model is not of portable type but it is installed. It is based on the assumption that the commercial power resources can be utilized. The light source displayed for demonstration is incandescent in nature.
The position where the illuminating device is attached :
The light source is disposed between the keyboard and the display section and attached on the main body of the personal computer to prevent the light source from emitting to other places than the keyboard.
In addition there is alight source which comes from the Liquid Color Display monitor which will assist the users in dark places. In this case another problem which may occur is that due to much of backlight emission the disturbance of the field of vision occurs which is totally unavoidable problem.
