Lenovo is an international technology company which is innovative. It is formed as a result of acquisition by the Lenovo Group of the IBM PC division. At some time there was price difference but now prices are also more or less same. Lenovo has introduced ThinkPadZ61T notebook to come out of this me-too disease. Lenovo ThinkPad Z61t is a new 14.1 widescreen notebook with titanium cover. It is the update to the newer widescreen Z series of ThinkPads. It offers speedy processors, WiFi, built in webcam, and media card reader. It has the mobility of a notebook with performance and functionality of a desktop.

Lenovo ThinkPad Z61t is designed with enhancements which are not found on typical notebook computers. There is a metal protection plate around the hard disk drive which protects the hard disk from physical shock and static electricity. It also has protection plate surrounding PCIe and PCMCIA card slots to reduce physical pressure from damaging the cards. An active protection system sensor is added to sense a fall that could damage the hard disk. Whenever a fall or drop is detected, the APS parks the hard disk’s read/write head, further reducing the chance of damage.

ThinkPads are popular with the business users. They are all work and no play but they can have a little fun from time to time. This notebook is not dull only for work. The Z series of ThinkPads is consumer friendly and it combines popular features like integrated camera and widescreen display with a reasonable price. Price aspect is sure to go well with buyers. Though Z61t is still as cheap as entry level Dell, it currently starts at just over $1100 and has the features to justify the extra money. It has one more surprise in store a titanium exterior.

Z61t weighs from 4.5lbs, it is lighter than budget R models. If your want to have all the data to be in one secure place, and back up the computer frequently with the external hard disk, you need not have to connect USB hard disk, printer, DVD burner. Z61t is enough to do all these things. It is a mature and easy docking solution with light weight.
