IBM think Pad is the brand name for portable Lap top and notebooks. they are orginally designed and sold by IBM. In early 2005 Think Pad has been marketed and manufactured by Lenovo, which has purchsed the PC division of IBM. The IBM LapTops are known for their reputation, solidity and their innovative design .
Features of Lenovo Think Pad
There are many features of ThinkPads such as- it consists a ThinkPad pointing device, a LED keyboard light at the top of LED screen, it consists a solidility designed full featured keyboard, a active protection system, which prevent hard disk to damage in case of power failure etc ,a biometric fingerprint reader, a client security solution which consists of a TPM ,assist for facilities in corporate environment, also roll range design of motherboard will reduce damages from Accidental spill.
Think Pad X60 Series
Think Pad x60 series based on intel chip and intel architecture, this will also include in X60 and X61 series which is also called tablet series. The design architecture of Think Pad X60 is based on core Duo L2400 (which runs on low Voltage) ,a CPU on the X60s models achieves battery life of more than 7 hours which is a standard of this model and with the help of extended battery it can work more than 12 hours.
But this model of laptop does’t have an optical drive which was introduced in T60 model. The first X series LapTop was based on Intel’s santa Rosa platform.
Think Pad x60 series contribution to Laptop Design
Lenovo has added a carbon fibre, so it automatically reinforced plastic to be used in 15* ThinkPad models. It introduced the line of Tablet PC ’s which is based on X series. Lenovo added magnesium alloy which is called chassis to reduce mother board flex in the case of holding a laptops one handed on a corner. This series has bring the era of consumer friendly laptops. this model of lenovo has started widescreen displays which were also used in T series models. This model also added windows key to all models including its 60 and 61 series.
